• 

  Step 1

  Things you will need:

  three colours of embroidery thread
  tape/clipboard
  ruler
  scissors
  a flat surface (I use a tray)

• 

  Step 2

  First you need to cut two 60cm pieces of embroidery thread of each colour, you should have six strings altogether.

• 

  Step 3

  Then tie them all together about an inch to an inch and a half away from the end with an overhand knot.

• 

  Step 4

  Then spread the colours out as shown in the picture, but according to the colours you have chosen.

• 

  Step 5

  Then you need to do a forward four knot with the left outside string on both the middle left and inside left strings. A forward four knot is done as shown in the next two pictures and then pull tight:

  Step 6

  Note that one four forward not is actually two of the forward four knots.

• 

  Step 7

  Once you have done the knots on all the left side strings do backward four knots on all the right side strings, this knot is done as shown in the next two pictures and pull tight:

  Step 8

  Again, one backward four knot is actually two backward four knots on the same string.

• 

  Step 9

  Once you have done this on all the right side strings, with the two inside strings do one forward four knot. then that row should look like this:

  Step 10

  Keep repeating these steps starting with the outside strings until you have completed enough to cover the top of your wrist. Tie another overhand knot to finish.

  Step 11

  Then you can either plait to the end and tie a knot or just tie a knot its up to you, I chose to plait.

• 

  Step 12

  then with the top of the bracelet tie and over hand knot over the section between the first and second knot you did at the end of the bracelet.
