party-perfect bites by Milli Taylor is full of fantastic recipes for all of your get- togethers during the festive season.
It was incredibly difficult to choose which one to try but I can never resist bacon and I was looking for something a bit different for our Christmas eve family nibbles.
The recipe is easy to follow, simple to prepare and tastes delicious.
I will definitely be trying more of the gorgeous looking dishes in the book.

Step 1Gather together the chestnuts, bacon and toothpicks. Cut the bacon strips into three pieces.

Step 2Wrap each chestnut in a piece of the bacon and secure with a toothpick.

Step 3Once you have wrapped all the chestnuts pop them on the prepared baking sheet. If you are out of baking parchment you can always use foil. If you want to do some of the preparation ahead of time you could do this part earlier in the day and chill until needed.

Step 4Gather together all the ingredients for the sauce.

Step 5Mix all the sauce ingredients together.

Step 6Then drizzle (or in my heavy handed way, pour) the sauce over the prepared chestnuts. Pop into a preheated oven at 190C/375F/Gas 5 and bake for 20mins.

Step 7Take them out of the oven and let cool for a couple of minutes. Watch the sauce will be very hot and sticky.

Step 8Serve and enjoy.
