In this tutorial I'll show you how to make a simple hand bag in just few easy steps. It's easy and I think you all should give it a try. You by different colored fabrics and matching bags for you outfits, I hope you all like this project and enjoy making one.
These are the materials you'll need for this project.
Cut out pieces of exterior piece (2x), interior piece (2x), and felt or thick lining fabric (2x) I'm using a square shape. The size of the fabrics depends how large you want your bag to be.
Take the interior piece. Then place the lining fabric and then the exterior piece over the interior piece.
Fold the bottom and top twice and sew along the folds.
Make another similar piece.
Cut out two long pieces of the exterior fabric and the lining fabric for the straps of the bag. The lining fabric should be thinner than the exterior fabrics. Actually the lining fabric should be how thick you want your straps to be. Put the lining fabric in the middle of the exterior piece. Fold and close it then sew the fold. I'm done making the straps for the bag.
Measure where you want your straps to be. Then sew them there. Cut out two similar pieces of the exterior piece and sew the 4 sides of the pieces. Then sew it on the bag as shown in the picture. I'm done attaching the straps on both pieces.
Put the piece over the zipper as shown in the picture and sew the zipper with the piece. Do the same with the other piece.
Fold it in half. Take out the straps so they don't bother you while you sew. Now sew the both sides and the bottom, then fold the right side out.
