I'd run out of proper stuffing, so had a rummage around my material box and found these, and PING!! an idea was born...
Soooo easy, more environmentally-friendly, and cheaper than stuffing! Plus it was so satisfying chopping up socks, specially my brother's old ones that say "BUGS" all over them... with pictures of insects. Is it strange I found that fun? :)

You Will Need

Step 1
Get your socks, any sort will do!

Step 2
Cut them up. Simple as! I roughly chopped them into 1 inch- 2 inch squares/rectangles; this would probably be for something big-ish, like a medium/large size plushie. For any smaller things, or filling in the odd gap, I cut the socks into 1cm-ish squares; I think they would be a bit softer and delicate, for something less bulky.

Ive been doing this with all my scrap material for awhile now. I call them "stuffies"! Whenever I have a piece of fabric left over...that I cant do anything with...instead of just tossing it...I cut it up and keep all of them in canisters for later use.

Have you been stalking me? That's my trick! LOL, I used to make little dolls and stuffies out of old socks and tees, and stuff them with chopped up socks! Yess it is satisfying to chop them up, and nooo you are not weird. Or perhaps we both are?
