Steps (12 steps, 60 minutes)
-
1
Assemble your supplies. For this project I'm using antiqued bronze elements, but you can use silver or gold if you wish.
-
2
Working from the spool, make a small loop with the 20 gauge wire.
-
3
Wrap the 20 gauge wire around the Sharpie 3 times, leaving about a 1/2 wrap tail.
-
4
Cut the 24 gauge wire aprox. 3" long, and make a small bend on one end.
-
5
Slide the 24 gauge wire onto the 20 gauge wire and make 2 wraps on 1 side of the little loop.
-
6
Make 2 wraps on the other side of the loop. Trim your excess 24 gauge wire, pressing it firmly so it won't snag anything.
-
7
With your round nose pliers, make a spiral with your excess 20 gauge wire. This is your charm holder!
-
8
Make your bead unit with the headpin and spacer beads, finishing it with a wrapped loop. Add a large jump ring to your button.
-
9
Attach your charms to your charm holder with jump rings. I've added 2 jump rings to the button charm so it will lay flat.
-
10
Attach your toggle ring and bar to your chain with jump rings.
-
11
Attach your charm holder to your chain with a jumpring.
-
12
Make sure all your jump rings are secure and your wires are smooth.
