  • How to make a chalkboard. Chalkboard Sign - Step 1
    Step 1

I bought a craft round at Micheal's. Then painted it with chalkboard paint, carefully making a very neat edge. I then drilled two holes in the top and hung it with a nice thick ribbon. You could easily staple the ribbon to the back with a staple gun as well. It took about a half hour from start to finish. And that included the time for the paint to dry! Easy!

    Step 2

Alex has been using it as a sign for his potion shop. There are quite a few others on my list who are going to get some version of this beautiful (and useful!) project for Christmas. The possibilities are endless with this blank slate. ( Pun completely intended. ;) )
