You Will Need (5 things)

  • Paper
  • Old CD s
  • Scissors
  • Glue or Sticky Backed Paper
  • Pencil

Steps (10 steps, 60 minutes)

  1. 1

First, cut your CD's into strips.

  2. 2

Now, cut those strips into squares, they don't need to be perfect, if they were all the same you wouldn't be able to make many shapes!

  3. 3

You should now have loads of little squares/shapes.

  4. 4

Now, on your piece of paper, draw a design to follow. You don't need to do this, but it's helpful.

  5. 5

Now, place your shapes onto your design where you want them. You need to make sure the shiny side or whatever side you want to be showing is down. This may take some time.

  6. 6

    Now you should have a your pieces layed out and should look something like this;

  7. 7

Now, if your using glue, paste your glue onto a sheet of paper and carefully place it onto your design. If your using sticky back paper, peel off the adhesive and place the sticky side onto the design. Be careful not to knock any pieces whist doing this.

  8. 8

Now, push onto the pieces until the glue dries. make sure that every piece is stuck to the paper or your pattern wont work.

  9. 9

When you think it's all stuck, slowly peel the paper away and your design should be stuck to it.

  10. 10

And there you have it! You can either: leave it as it is; cut the access paper around it and leave it as it is; or you could stick that to some card or something to strengthen it.

You could also use some spray glue if you have any to make it secure.
