Whisk together the yeast, warm water and mazola oil.

  2. Small 109065 2f2015 05 27 155140 img 7418

Whisk together the flour, sugar and baking powder. Create a well in the middle and pour in the water.

  3. Small 109065 2f2015 05 27 155230 img 7419

Mix together into a thick sticky dough, cover and leave to rise for an hour.

  4. Small 109065 2f2015 05 27 155248 img 7421

Knead the dough again and cut into 12 small balls. Cut 12 squares of parchment paper and place a dough ball on top of each.

  5. Small 109065 2f2015 05 27 155308 img 7422

Flatten the dough into a disk and place a spoonful of filling in the middle.

  6. Small 109065 2f2015 05 27 155414 img 7425

Fold the top of the disk down over the filling and press around the edges to seal.

  7. Small 109065 2f2015 05 27 155447 img 7423

Fold the top two corner upwards to look like cat ears. Leave the buns to rise for 45 minutes.

  8. Small 109065 2f2015 05 27 155611 img 7426

Use an edible marker pen to draw cat faces on your buns and then brush with a little mazola oil.

  9. Small 109065 2f2015 05 27 155653 img 7431

Steam the buns for 8 minutes and serve.
