Description

I have put 1hr 30mins for the time length, it may take less time but i had my cat running about with my threads and stuff. Pretty easy and cheap to make, plus very fun for your cat.

Instructions

  1. Small 2012 02 19 10.36.56

Gather all materials needed. Im using an old Whiskas treat tub, i have attached a downloadable version of the face which you could print out and put it onto card or something.

  2. Small 2012 02 19 10.38.27

Trace around your template with a pen or pencil on your fabric or felt twice.

  3. Cut your cat faces out.

  4. Small 2012 02 19 11.00.54

Pin together drawn side on the inside, if your using a sewing machine do it the opposite way and then turn it the right way once sewn.

  5. Small 2012 02 19 12.31.01

Sew together, here im using a blanket stitch. Leave a gap on one of the sides so you can add your stuffing and catnip.

  6. Small 2012 02 19 12.34.41

Stuff your shape, you may need the end of a pencil to push the stuffing up into the ears, i used a a spray catnip here which i just sprayed the stuffing, if your using the grinded stuff it would be best to cut a small rectangle out of fabric or something similar and then sew it closed and then pop it inside with the stuffing. Sew the gap closed.

  7. Small 2012 02 19 13.08.44

Decorate the toy if you wish with scrap fabric or felt or if your handy with a needle you can decorate it with just thread.

  8. Small 2012 02 19 13.09.59

There you have it, a fun, cheap and easy toy for you furry little friend.
