My first figure carving, the pregnant nude.
I've wanted to carve a figure piece for some time but never had the nerve. Well, last night I decided to go for it. I found a reference photo (a shot showing front, back and both sides of the model) online and used it as a guide to carve my Little Mama.
It isn't perfect but it is what I wanted, a good representation of the pregnant form.
The pics were taken with my webcam, hope to get some better ones soon!
*EDIT* Got MUCH better pics now so am swapping them over

Oh wow, she was so well liked on Facebook she's sold the same day! And her sister looks set to sell as well (will post pics of her tomorrow). Really wasn't expecting to sell them, I just wanted to carve a female form. Now I want more Lime wood (Basswood for the US types) so I can do more
