I wanted to make a notebook for a friend and decorate it with a collage of stuff she likes, and so I came up with this. :] (There's no picture of the design because I would feel weird posting her notebook online. Once I make this again for myself I'll post better pictures. Until then, I'm sorry!) The main reason the time for this is what it is is because I had troubles cutting the cardboard and trying to make it even. :P

Make your covers. I used cereal boxes, but you can use whatever type of cardboard you want. Measure how big you want your cover to be and then cut it out of the cardboard.
[Optional] Since my cardboard wasn't very strong I cut out 4 pieces and then glued 2 of them together. So each cover was made of 2 pieces of cardboard.
DECORATE your cover(s)!
Get your paper and cut it to the size you want. Lined paper, blank paper, graph paper, whatever you want for your notebook.
Line up the covers and the paper the way you want and use a hole puncher to punch however many holes you want on the side.
Pull a ribbon or string through the holes and tie. And now you've got your very own notebook. :D
