You Will Need (16 things)

  • Brownie:

  • 1 cup Butter (softened)
  • 2 cup Sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • 2 tsp Vanilla
  • ½ cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 2 cup Flour
  • 1 cup Milk
  • Caramel:

  • 32 unwrapped Kraft Caramels
  • ½ cup Butter
  • 1 can (14 oz) Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • Fudge Glaze:

  • 12 oz Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 12 tbsp Butter (do not substitute margarine here!)

Steps (9 steps, 90 minutes)

  1. 1

    For Brownies:
Preheat oven to 350 and grease a large jelly roll pan (this is a cookie sheet with sides on it).

  2. 2

    Cream butter and sugar together.

  3. 3

Beat in eggs, cocoa, vanilla and salt.

  4. 4

Add flour and milk (alternating them and mixing well in between).

  5. 5

Spread evenly in greased jelly roll pan and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until done in center and just starting to pull away from sides. Cool completely.

  6. 6

    For caramel layer:
Place unwrapped caramels, butter and sweetened condensed milk into a saucepan and heat until completely melted. Stir this constantly to prevent scorching (about 6-8 minutes).

  7. 7

Gently pour over cooled brownies and spread to edges. Put the entire pan in freezer while you make the glaze (10-15 min) to allow the caramel to harden a little.

  8. 8

    For the fudge glaze layer:
Melt butter and chocolate together in the microwave in 30 second increments, stirring in between until completely melted and smooth.

  9. 9

Pour over cooled caramel and gently spread evenly over top
Chill until top layer is hard and cut into bars.
