You Will Need (16 things)
-
Brownie:
- 1 cup Butter (softened)
- 2 cup Sugar
- 3 Eggs
- 2 tsp Vanilla
- ½ cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- ½ tsp Salt
- 2 cup Flour
- 1 cup Milk
-
Caramel:
- 32 unwrapped Kraft Caramels
- ½ cup Butter
- 1 can (14 oz) Sweetened Condensed Milk
-
Fudge Glaze:
- 12 oz Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
- 12 tbsp Butter (do not substitute margarine here!)
Steps (9 steps, 90 minutes)
-
1
For Brownies:
Preheat oven to 350 and grease a large jelly roll pan (this is a cookie sheet with sides on it). -
2
Cream butter and sugar together.
-
3
Beat in eggs, cocoa, vanilla and salt.
-
4
Add flour and milk (alternating them and mixing well in between).
-
5
Spread evenly in greased jelly roll pan and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until done in center and just starting to pull away from sides. Cool completely.
-
6
For caramel layer:
Place unwrapped caramels, butter and sweetened condensed milk into a saucepan and heat until completely melted. Stir this constantly to prevent scorching (about 6-8 minutes). -
7
Gently pour over cooled brownies and spread to edges. Put the entire pan in freezer while you make the glaze (10-15 min) to allow the caramel to harden a little.
-
8
For the fudge glaze layer:
Melt butter and chocolate together in the microwave in 30 second increments, stirring in between until completely melted and smooth. -
9
Pour over cooled caramel and gently spread evenly over top
Chill until top layer is hard and cut into bars.
