    Get four different thread colors and cut them at about 50 inches. For practice cut at 20 inches. Length will depend on the size of your wrist.

    Gather your thread together and at the top tie a knot to keep them in place, leave a inch of thread before the knot. then tape the extra string before the knot onto a hard surface.

    Separate the colors leaving space in between.

    Then starting from the left do a forward four knot on the next color of thread.
    To do this you make a four with the first color on the second. So you don't move the second thread the first is the only one that moves.

    After you make the four your going to bring the first color in between the space of the four. Then you going to pull and bring to the top. You will do this twice on each string. In the pic. I did the pink on the purple twice then I move toward the next string and did it twice on the thread. You continue this until the first color is at the end. Then the second color is now the first and you do the same.
