I don't know about your house, but here at the residence I reside in it's always a festive time of year. It's right up there with Christmas and is truly a family affair. Mom buys all sorts of red candies and fills the dishes, changes the table clothes and napkins to white and red, dad gets out the flags and puts them in the planters out front, my brother gets a case of beer...and I make a strawberry sponge cake and attempt to make a maple leaf out of strawberries on top.. and this year I made a table runner to go with.
