You Will Need (11 things)

  • Light-coloured Pencil(s)
  • Chain
  • 2 x Jump Ring(s)
  • Glue
  • Silver Pen(s)
  • Mirrored Contact Paper
  • Black Shrink Plastic
  • Scissors
  • Paper for template
  • Hole Punch
  • Oven

Steps (10 steps, 30 minutes)

  1. 1

First of all, draw or print out the templates on to paper and cut them out.

You may want to make your necklace look like your own camera, but if you want to use the template I made, then you can download it.

  2. 2

Draw around the templates on to the wrong side of the black shrink plastic using a light-coloured pencil.

  3. 3

Carefully cut the shrink plastic camera and lens out.

  4. 4

Use a hole puncher to punch two holes at the top of either side of the camera.

  5. 5

Use a silver pen to draw little camera details on to the camera - I just made mine up.

  6. 6

Shrink the camera and the lens down in the oven, remembering to stick them under a book to get them nice and flat when you take them out.

  7. 7

Now take the lens and some silver contact paper.

  8. 8

Draw around the inside and outside of the lens on to the wrong side of the paper.

  9. 9

Cut out the mirror circle, so that it's a little shorter than the outside ring. Glue the circle in the middle of the camera. I just used pritt-stick to glue it down. I also cut out a little rectangle which I glued to the flash part of the camera.

  10. 10

Glue the lens on to the camera, so that the mirror circle fits neatly inside (I used a stronger, clear adhesive glue to attach the lens). Attach two jump rings through the holes at either side and attach to a chain.

Your camera necklace is now ready to wear!
