You Will Need (6 things)

  • 2 Fimo Clay colors
  • Eye Pin(s)
  • fimo base color Acrylic Paint
  • Water
  • Flour
  • Fine Paint brush

Steps (12 steps, 30 minutes)

  1. 1

Pick a figurine that has some sort of texture.

  2. 2

roll a ball of any colored clay and flatten it, so that it is as big as the figurine's face.

  3. 3

Press the figurines face into the clay, but no more than half way. Then bake mold according to direction on fimo packet.

  4. 4

When mold has cooled off, apply a thin layer of flour.

  5. 5

Take the color you want the face to be, and flatten it out in the mold.

  6. 6

Carefully take the clay out of the mold without warping any of the features.

  7. 7

Use the tip of a pin to cut away any excess clay/

  8. 8

Roll a ball of a different color of clay, and flatten it out. Then score it by using the tip of a pin to scratch the middle, and the back of the face. This causes a Velcro effect.

  9. 9

Gently connect the 2, and use the side of the pin to press the edges of the face into the base, but don't indent base. It is ok if it looks messy the base just needs to be flat.

  10. 10

Mix a tiny bit of one part paint/ one part water. Brush it onto the face.

  11. 11

Before paint dries gently dab the face with the tissue to absorb some of the paint. this will make the characteristics more distinct.

  12. 12

carefully paint around the edge of the face to cover up any out of bound clay.
