Description

This stitch can be used in its own right as decoration – scattered or as a border. It can also be used as a filler.

Instructions

  1. Small 2018 02 19 181359 screen%2bshot%2b2018 02 19%2bat%2b18.13.49

Start the stitch by pulling the needle up at A and then insert the needle at B in the centre. Pull it up at C, taking care to keep the needle inside the loop created – you can use your finger to keep the loop in place.

  2. Small 2018 02 19 181429 screen%2bshot%2b2018 02 19%2bat%2b18.14.14

Insert the needle at B again, and pull it up at D to create the next spoke.

  3. Small 2018 02 19 181451 screen%2bshot%2b2018 02 19%2bat%2b18.14.42

Continue in this way to complete the wheel.

  4. Small 2018 02 19 181508 screen%2bshot%2b2018 02 19%2bat%2b18.14.58

Fasten the last spoke of the wheel with a tiny straight stitch, joining at A. Take care to keep the tension quite tight, so the stitch doesn’t loosen.
