  • How to make a play book. Button Flower Quiet Book Page - Step 1
    Step 1

Gather all the bits together. I used one large piece of pale blue felt for the background, green for the grass and 5colours for flowers. Each of the colours of the flower heads needs a matching button. You will also need matching thread for all these colours.

    Step 2

Make buttonholes in all the pieces of felt for flowers to match the corresponding buttons. I had to change the tension on my machine for the felt to quite a low setting.

    Step 4

Attach the green felt to the blue background. I used pinking shears so it was like grass on the ground. I made pockets so the flower heads could be put inside.

    Step 5

Decide approximately where you want the flowers to be and sew on buttons.

  • Step 6

Add any other decoration you want to the page.

  • Step 7

Finish off the page however you are doing for your book. I sew some fabric and interfacing to the back and then add eyelets to the left hand side of the page.
