Burlesque Bustle Skirt

We're doing a burlesque themed hen night, and when I saw this I just had to try it!

This is black suiting material I think (I just bought what felt right and was cheap!) with red lace. It was a simple wrap around closure, with four hooks and eyes down the waistband to secure it. Then a decorative panel with four diamante buttons to add a focus point away from the fastener.

I made a top to match, and added some of the red lace to an op-shop bag to tie it all together.

Look out for the white and blue version I made for the Hen :)
