the card holder would make a wonderful mother or father's day present. it stitches up pretty quickly and is fairly simple to put together. you could also do this on your sewing machine if it will handle stitching through leather.

Description

the card holder would make a wonderful mother or father's day present. it stitches up pretty quickly and is fairly simple to put together. you could also do this on your sewing machine if it will handle stitching through leather.

Instructions

  1. Small buck 021

    cut a piece of leather 4 x 8.5 inches fold one short end up 1.75 inches and pinch in place. push needle through between the fold (so that your knot is on the inside. wrap the stitch around the folded portion and back in and out that same hole. stitch 1/4 inch apart up the side seam to the top of the folded section.

    wrap over the top and start stitching back down. go in and out the same spots as your first row of stitches filling in the gaps.

  3. Small buck 029

    when you have worked your way back down so that there is only one stitch spot to fill in, push the needle through just one layer and into the inside of the pocket you are making.

    knot it on the inside.

    repeat on the other side. then repeat with the other end. done and knots are all hidden to the inside.
