I think it's better with the belt on it..

It's very easy, you don't have to do one of the lasts staps.
If you don't do it that way, you don't have the bubble effect, but just straight.

Good luck.

You Will Need (4 things)

  • Fabric
  • Pin(s)
  • Needle And Thread Or Sewing Machine
  • Elastic 2 X

Steps (6 steps, 60 minutes)

  1. 1

I took a piece of fabric 150 cm and 75 cm.

I nailed the upperside, like 10 cm.
    Than i sew it.

I used big elastic for it, so i needed 10 cm.

  2. 2

My elastic was 2 cm, so i needed 2,5 cm for it.

So from the upperside i go 7,5 cm down, that is where i made the line, so the elastic would be under the line.

I drawed a line on it, so it would be correct.
    Than i sew it.

  3. 3

A safety-pin in the elastic. And than put the elastic in the upperside of the skirt.
    I needed 70 cm elastic.

Sew the elastic together, i think that's easier..

  4. 4

My fabric was too long, because i wanted a short skirt.. I cut out 10 cm, you see on the first picture.

On the second i nailed 2 cm together..

On this step you can choose a bubble skirt like me... than you can do the next step..
If you want a straight skirt, you sew the downside.

  5. 5

    Bubble effect:

You sew 2 cm on the downside, than you put elastic in it like we did on the upperside.

The elastic has to be as long, that you can put it on your upper legs.

  6. 6

Than sew the both sides of the skirt together.

    And that's it!

With a nice belt, you've got the nicest effect i think.

    Good luck
