I made this hair accessory to go with the cheongsam dress I'm making for my graduation ceremony next month. The dress is of the same fabric. I in fact bought the rest of it from the store. It was enough to make the dress, a shawl and some accessories, including covers for the shoes I have yet to find. =) I cut out the butterfly shape and then used an old sweater for the backing. I just decorated it in the most simplistic way with seed beads and some thread to give it some detail.
