These are home made buns.
They are not as light as the shop bought ones but at least you know what's went into them.
Mix together water, milk, yeast & sugar.
In a bowl rub together the flours, salt & butter.
Stir in the yeast mixture & 1 egg.
Mix together until a dough forms, 5-8 mins.
Form into a ball.
Cover with cling film & leave to rise until double in size.
Knock back the dough & divide into 8 portions.
Roll the dough into circles.
Place on a tray.
Leave to rise again.
Heat oven 400/200 degrees.
Brush rolls with beaten egg.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
Bake for 15-20 mins until cooked through.
Remove from the oven & cool completely before serving.
