This is a very simple tutorial for making your own charm bracelet. You pick the link of your choice, and add as many charms as you desire. You can make this bracelet a single or multi strand bracelet by adding as many strands of leather or chain as you want.
This is a very simple tutorial for making your own charm bracelet. You pick the link of your choice, and add as many charms as you desire. You can make this bracelet a single or multi strand bracelet by adding as many strands of leather or chain as you want.
Supplies needed for making this bracelet. Decorative link Black leather cord Artistic wire 5 small jump-rings 1 large jump-ring Charms & Beads Lobster clasp Chain Two bent-nose pliers Round-nose pliers Flush wire cutters
Cut a piece of leather cord about 16” long, then string the lobster clasp onto the cord.
Center the clasp then tie a knot in the cord to hold the clasp in place.
Add your jump-rings to your decorative link, I added two small to one side to run my cord through for added strength. The larger jump-ring is part of my clasp (hook the lobster clasp onto).
Now run your cord through the smaller jump-rings, fold ends over, (adjust the length for your bracelet here). This bracelet measures 7” in total length.
Cut about a 3” piece of artistic wire for wrapping around the cord to secure.
Fold the ends over and start wrapping the wire around your leather cord tightly to secure.
Tuck wire end under using your bent-nose pliers, and trim the excess cord.
Add your charms.
Add as many charms, or wire wrapped bead charms as you like.
The chain was an after thought, so if you would like to add some chain just use a piece of chain the same link as your cord, connect it to the Jumprings at each end.
