You Will Need

  • Step 1

cut long pieces of yarn (long enough to fit around whatever it is you using it for with plenty of excess)

the thicker you want the braid to be the more yarn you need

  • Step 2

gather together the yarn and tie a knot a couple inches from the edge (or more if you like it stringy at the end)

  • Step 3

tie that same end to something sturdy and begin braiding the yarn (you may also twixt it or do a belt weave)

once it has reached your desired length tie another knot at the other end of the braid (once again you can make it stringy if you prefer)

  • Step 4

after completed you can trim the ends and wear as desired

I love this project! Especially with multi-color yarn mixed with solid-color yarn, they look great finished. I use mine for hair bands and get compliments all the time! Another think you can do is comb the ends (the excess yarn) to fluff it out for a different effect. They're inexpensive and simple to make but SO cute! I'm making a million of these to wear every day Happy
