Cut Out + Keep

Bouquet/Wreath Cake

First time making buttercream flowers

https://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/bouquet-slash-wreath-cake • Posted by hannah g.

I made this for my mother-in-laws birthday (so it says 'happy birthday' in Korean on there). Inside it was a pink vanilla sponge with a thick layer of whipped cream and orange marmalade. I went with a pink, orange and white ombre effect on the side and decided to decorate with white peonies, pink roses and blossoms of varying colour combinations, finishing off with some piped leaves and edible pearls. This was a lot of fun, and I will definitely be practising more in future. If you'd like to see the cake in action on a spinning cake board, check it out here: https://i.imgur.com/teVkSS1.gifv
