Here's a how to for the decorated bottle to give someone as a present. Sorry for the lack of pictures I didn't have any extra bottles to make a tutorial for this :/ The idea was from a neighbour and years later suddenly wanted to get a gift for friend I started to make one and change it over time when I keep making these bottle gifts. Hope you people would understand what I'm trying to show here, because I have just joined here and the first time doing a tutorial to show everybody. :D

Hope you people would understand what I'm trying to show here, because I have just joined here and the first time doing a tutorial to show everybody. :D
Get the materials you need, you might want to lay out some old/unwanted papers to cover up your area as it might get a little messy. Materials needed: - Scissors/ penknife - Chalks (assorted color) - Pack of fine salt/ or if you have colored sand that you could use - Cup - Decorative bottle - Flowers - Small items that can be used to decorate (Optional)
In the picture above you could see that there are different color layers of salt. I used salt to replace the sand as it is cheap. We are going to measure a small amount of salt that you would want to put at the bottom layer. Pour the desired amount of salt into the cup you prepared.
Next get your chalk and shave it into the cup, the amount of chalk that you shave would determine the brightness of the color. The more you shave it would be similar to the chalk color, as salt is white so it would be a light shade of color. Get your funnel and place it onto the bottle's mouth and pour your salt into it. You may want to tilt your bottle a little when you pour the salt into it.
Repeat step 3 with a different color chalk. When you pour into the bottle have to be careful with it as you may mess up the previous level of salt in the bottle. You can continue to tilt the bottle if you like. If you would like to have a mixed look but still maintain the different layers of salt you could gently shake the bottle to give it a mixed up look.
Repeat step 3 and 4 if you would want to more layers of salt. Repeat till the number of layers of salt is wanted. If you would like place some decorations into the bottle I would suggest the salt level would be at half or below of the bottle.
This is where you would need your decorations to be placed in the bottle. Step 6 onwards would be optional if you would just want a simple and plain looking sand bottle. If you have decorations like in the picture you could use them.
To make these flowers you would need a strip of foam/paper/fabric-like-paper/ or any materials that you would to use to make the flowers.
In the picture you could see how to fold the flowers. First, you have to make a right angle triangle and with a part sticking out. Second, you roll in the part that you made previously. This is the middle part of a rose. Third, you fold the strip at a 45 degree angle around, every fold you make you would need to fold the right angle part too. In the picture you could see the tip is bend down when you fold. To make a more realistic rose I would suggest when folding place the part you had folded underneath rather than placing around the flower it would look blossomed. After you have finish folding the flower take a piece of string or wire to tie the flower in place.
You could use wire to create the stem and add some leaves.
Add in the flowers that you have done into the bottle gently. You would not want to mess up the salt in it when you place the flowers. After placing the flowers nicely you could put in some decorations that is small enough to go through. You may put it before placing the flowers too.
Lastly, cap the bottle and wrap it up! Go along with some cards to make it as a present. This gift would more be suitable for females as valentines or people who love diy crafts :D Hope you have fun making this. If you have any doubts you could message me and I would try to solve your problems.
