This is a new take on a Boston Cream Cake.

It is moist & morish.

It is really easy to make.

You can use store bought custard or make up your own home made.

You Will Need (12 things)

  • Cake

  • 6oz Butter
  • 6oz Sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • 6oz Self-Raising Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
  • Custard

  • Custard
  • Topping

  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 8oz Dark Chocolate

Steps (12 steps, 60 minutes)

    Cream butter & sugar together.

    Add eggs, one at a time & mix thoroughly.

  3. 3

    Add flour & baking powder.

    Stir to combine.

    Bake at 160 degrees for approx 30 mins.

    Make up the custard.

  6. 6

    When cake is cooked, remove from the oven.

    Poke holes all over the cake with the handle of a wooden spoon.

    Pour the custard over the cake.

    Set aside to cool.

    Heat the cream until just scolded.

    Add the chocolate to the cream & cover with cling film.

    Set aside for approx 5 mins.

    Stir to combine & set aside to cool a little.

    Pour over the custard layer.

    Set aside to cool & set.

  12. 12

    Serve cold.
