  • Step 1

This is the perfect no-dessert dessert and requires absolutely no effort. If you can open a bottle of wine, you can make these slushies. My only piece of advice is to take the lemon sorbet out of the freezer right before you remove the dinner plates from the table. That gives it time to soften while you clear the decks and have a chat with your friends.

  • Step 2

Get yourself four tall glasses and place a scoop of lemon sorbet in the bottom of each one. Add 2 Tbsp of the vodka to each glass and stir well to mix (let the mixture sit for a minute or two if the sorbet isn’t soft enough to stir). Add ½ cup [120 ml] of the sparkling wine to each glass and stir again. Serve immediately with straws and spoons.

  • Step 3

    BOOZY LEMON POUND CAKE
If you don’t finish your slushies and/or if your lemon sorbet melts completely, soak slices of pound cake in the liquid. Serve with whipped cream.
