You Will Need (2 things)

  • Pearl, Red & Black Fimo
  • Jewelry Wire

Steps (10 steps, 120 minutes)

  1. 1

Gather together everything you will need

For this project I have used Pearl fimo, Red glitter effect fimo and black fimo.

Ive used wire for the body of my bookmark but you could you a standard oblong bookmark and glue the finished legs to it.

  2. 2

Make two leg shapes, its important that you do them together to make sure you get a matching pair.

  3. 3

As horrific as it sounds slice off the bottom of the foot to get a clean line which will be a much better fit for your shoe.

  4. 4

Make a teardrop shape for the shoes and mark a line on the base to help mould the heel from the toe.

  5. 5

Apologies for the blueness of this pic...

Now is the tricky part mould until it resembles a barbie shoe,

  6. 6

Using a ball tool (or anything you can use to indent)carefully push into the top of the shoe working your way about 2 thirds, should now look like a real shoe.....just for little people

  7. 7

Fit your legs (the ones you made earlier, not your own haha) into the shoes, re-mould the shoes until you are happy with the look.

  8. 8

Now to decorate, you could paint the black stripes on and would probably be neater, but if you use fimo roll it thinly and cut several narrow stripes and individually wrap round the legs.

You can also add a bow to the shoes which is a simple sausage shape curled into a B

  9. 9

Sorry I didnt take any pics of the making of the wire body.

Basically cut 6 lengths of wire at one end make a loose swirl and wire wrap together.

If you didnt want a wire body you could use a cardboard oblong of your choice - if so press one end into the top of the legs so that once baked, they will fit smoothly and you could glue - do not put the cardboard in the oven.

  10. 10

Bake according to instructions and once cool add a couple of coats of varnish.

Whilst still tacky coat the shoes in the red glitter to make them extra sparkly.

When dry I painted a couple of coats of clear glue over the shoes to stop the glitter for shedding....

Finally get a book that you know you will put down so you can use your bookmark :D
