Based on Book Box by Lucía
although not quite based on lucia's project, i posted it under here since it's more or less the same thing: a box disguised as a book. made from scratch out of cardboard to contain an overdue gift. notice though, i wasn't paying much attention to how i was making it and made an error with the corrugated cardboard. meh.

i prefer your method of making a book box though, which seems so much easier. tis just a matter of finding the right size wooden box, can't seem to find it around here

That's a great idea, making the box out of cardboard and then covering it with fabric gives an old book feel... good job!
