1. Cut 5 pieces of fabric that are about the same weight (meaning don’t mix linen with wool) in five rectangles that measure 13”x 15”-17”. They can be different lengths, but should all be the same width.
2. Straight stitch the short sides of the rectangles end to end, making sure all the raw edges are all on the same side of the scarf. Make a loop.
3. Fold and stitch on the reverse side 1/4 inch in from the first stitch to seal the edge so there is no raw edge showing.
4. Fold over long sides of scarf three times ¼” so the seam is sealed and stitch a straight stitch 1/4” from the edge.
5. Take yellow embroidery thread and make a blanket stitch along the long edge of the scarf.
