Description

This is so simple! And I love that it and uses minimal supplies - just string and some beads...plus a little creativity. To make an eyelash necklace, follow these steps:

Instructions

  1. Small full p1120831

String 8 beads on a piece of string. Measure it to be the length you want your finished necklace, plus 2 inches.

  2. Small full p1120834

On one end, tie a loop. Make the loop approx. the same size as one of your beads. On the other end, tie a knot.

  3. Small full p1120837

Center seven of the beads on your string. Tie knots on either side of the group of 7, so they will hang in the center of your necklace. Note: ignore that 8th bead for now.

  4. Small full p1120840

Tie little pieces of string in between each of the 7 center beads to form the eyelashes.

  5. Small full p1120847

oh, and that last bead? It becomes your clasp - the loop fits around it to secure the necklace. That's it! Necklace managed! You can change this design in so many ways. Try more or fewer beads, longer or shorter eyelashes, or multiple eyelashes between the beads. Really short eyelashes kind of look like barbed wire, to go with a gothic or punk style outfit. Just experiment and see what style of eyelashes you like best!
