This head piece will turn any pink outfit into the perfect Bing Bong costume.
Fold your fleece in half, right sides together.
Lay your hood down on the fabric and trace around it 1 inch from the edges, creating a general outline
Draw a 6 inch high, rounded cone shape on top of your outline.
Draw out the chin of the hood to create the overlap that secures the head piece on.
Cut out the head pieces.
Stitch the head pieces together from the back edge to just about where the trunk hits.
Flip the head right side out.
With the rest of the fleece still folded in half, draw a trunk and cut out.
Sew the trunk pieces together, leaving open the large end. Turn right side out and stuff with stuffing.
Draw and cut out two ears. Think long and floppy.
Place one ear on each side of the head piece so that the flat edge is facing downward and the right sides are together. Stitch a straight line across the flat edges then flip the ears down over the stitch lines.
Slide the stuffed trunk between the head pieces and pin in place at the front of the hood piece.
Sew the ends of the stuffed trunk and the seam of the hood together, locking the trunk in place.
Shove stuffing into the top cone of the head piece.
Cut out a circle of pink fleece and hot glue into the inside of the head piece to hold the stuffing in place.
Trim away excess edges of the circle.
Fit the head piece on your kiddo and trim the front flaps to fit.
Add Velcro to the front flaps.
Hot glue the mini bowler hat on the head.
Cut out eyes/eyebrows from felt and glue in place.
Add whiskers by pulling lengths of fishing line through the cheek area with a needle.
Ta-da!!
