Description

Remebrance day/veteran's day is coming up, and I felt making a poppy would be appropriate. can be used for earrings, necklaces, etc...

Instructions

  1. Small dscn4706 1257205992

String a bugle beed on the wire. Take one end of it and thread it back through the bead so it stays secured, leaving about a 6cm tail.

  2. Small dscn4707 1257208356

With the long end of the wire, string some seed beads (I used 9 but they were different sizes) and a bugle bead. Put the wire through the first bugle bead again, starting on the side with the 6cm tail.

  3. Small dscn4686 1257208725

This is what it looks like...Start adding beads again

  4. Small dscn4688 1257208841

After the same number of beads as before, add a bugle bead and thread the wire through the bugle bead accross from it.

  5. Small dscn4689 1257208972

Again, string the same number of beads, then a bugle bead, then put the wire through the bugle bead on the top.

  6. Small dscn4690 1257209012

Thread on the same number of seed beeds, then put the wire through the bugle bead that makes up the other side of the petal you are working on.

  7. Small dscn4691 1257209180

Twist the working wire and the tail you left behind together, for less than a cm. Thread both the wires through the black bead, and push the bead against the petals.

  8. Small dscn4692 1257209198

Separate the two wires, and turn them downwards towards the back of the flower, with them going the opposite direction from each other. So it goes around the black bead and through the middle of two opposite petals, then meets again at the back. Twist the wires together, than snip the excess off. Bend the twisted wires so they are right next to a bugle bead. Shape the petals as desired. Done!
