Beaded Elasticcy Headband

I saw hairbands like this, with round white beads in a similar patern, in Primark, but thought I could do much better and make a more original version here than the obvious, so here it is!

You will need

Bead(s) , I used faceted 4mm ones but a smaller size of round beads (like 3mm or something) could also work. I bought a pack of 200 tangerine coloured beads for £1.25 on sale, and I do still have many left over (possibly about 50 or less). So I think this u Plain black Elastic - amount will vary according to your head size etc. Flat leather Crimp(s) with the loop cut off Very long piece of Elastic , the clear kind A bit of Glue to secure the knots

I saw hairbands like this, with round white beads in a similar patern, in Primark, but thought I could do much better and make a more original version here than the obvious, so here it is!

Instructions

1. 

   Thread one bead down to the middle of your clear elastic. Put two beads onto either side of it. Put a third bead onto one side, and pass the end of the thread on the other side through it, going the opposite way. Like you see in the picture!

2. 

   Carry on going like this,making sure the elastic is almost fully stretched as far as it can go... Here's a pic of how you add each lot of beads, into a sqaurey sort of pattern

   You should be aiming for a tight, not-floppy chain of beads that you can still stretch out some more when you wear it. It needs to be about as long as the distance between about an inch above each ear, over your head. If you see what I mean! Securely knot the ends and dab a little glue on them to make sure it stays put. Here it is in the picture.

4. 

   Here's how you attach the elastic to the ends of the beaded part- just thread each end of the elastic through each of the end beads (shown by the grey in the pic). Then adjust the amount of elastic you need by putting it on your head... remember to make it a bit shorter because it will stretch Knot the ends of the elastic together, and crimp both strands in the middle where the knot is, with the leather crimp.

   There it is! Finished! Any questions, ask, cause I'm not sure how well Ive explained this..
