my daughter requested a Batman theme for her 5th birthday :) i used a 12x3" round cake pan for the bottom layer, and a 9x3" round pan for the top layer. i used cream cheese frosting mostly; the black was the Wilton black icing in a tube that you can attach tip to. the last picture has Batman and Ariel (from The Little Mermaid) as her cake toppers because her original idea was a Batman-marries-Ariel theme, but i told her that would be too hard to try to mash together. when we found the Ariel in her wedding dress, we figured it would be a fun birthday surprise for her :)
