love doing this during the summer, fun and easy to do with kids, while being trendy AND cheap! These become more and more comfortable the longer you wear them. the wider you cut your strips the thicker your bracelet ect. will be.

Instructions

  1. Small img 2032 1251161254

first pick out three different colored bandannas. take a scissors and cut a slit, creating a tab about a half inch wide on each bandanna.

  2. Small img 2034 1251161436

pull on the tab you just cut to make one long strip, rip until you get to the other side of the bandanna.

  3. Small img 2036 1251161547

use a scissors to cut the seam on the other end of the strip.

  4. Small img 2037 1251161785

repeat steps two and three for your remaining colors. you should have three strips now.

  5. Small img 2038 1251161808

take a strip and dip it in a cup of water. squeeze excess water off from the strip. (using water helps the strips from fraying, as well has keep the jewelry together.)

  6. Small img 2042 1251161912

twist the wet strip. (i usually hold one end in my mouth with my teeth so i can use both hands to twist.)

  7. Small img 2044 1251162378

repeat steps five and six for the other two strips. you should now have three twisted strips.

  8. Small img 2045 1251162408

tie the strips together with a knot close to the ends of the strips.

  9. Small img 2046 1251162571

braid the strips together. (again i usually hold the knotted end with my teeth so i can use both hands for braiding.)
