Two words...So Good
This was my first time making banana bread. It's really easy to make and doesn't take a lot of time. I look forward to hearing how this turned out for you guys.

  • Step 1

    You will need:
    2 cups all-purpose flour
    1 tsp Baking Soda
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/2 cup butter
    1 cup brown sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
2 1/3 cups mashed overripe bananas
    Nuts (optional)

  • Step 2

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.

  • Step 3

In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. In a separate bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar.

  • Step 4

Stir in eggs and mashed bananas until well blended. If you're adding nuts, go head and fold them in now.

  • Step 5

Stir banana mixture into flour mixture; stir just to moisten. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.

  • Step 6

Bake in preheated oven for 60 to 65 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean. Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack.

  • Step 7

Yeah next time I'll add nuts. I didn't have any at the time. You know the weird thing is, I don't even like bananas. But I love the bread.

you should try adding walnuts next time. They make the whole thing taste even better! (if that's possible ;))
