Keep odors at bay with baking soda tins
You can place little tins of baking soda around your house to absorb nasty odors. Because I have a cat, and don't want him knocking them down, I afix them to the wall.

    Get a few empty clean tins. I used small cat food tins. But anything that has a lip could work such as a canning lid.

    I drilled a hole in the side using a drill. To keep the can in place I put it in a vice so it won't slide out as I drilled through the side.
    I also aimed it closer to the lip so if you want to put a lot of baking soda, it won't leak out through the hole.

    make sure your push pin will fit through- all the way through.

    Fill your cans/lids with baking soda.

    Place in areas where you know there'll be odors, or just in some inconspicuous spot. Bathrooms are good. And there you have it!
    After about 2 weeks perhaps replace with fresh baking soda. I
    Tip: instead of throwing the powder out, you can pour it down the drain to freshen up your sink.
