My inspiration was my 6 week old grandson, my daughter had asked me to look out for some nice baby boy-ish fabrics, as she wanted me to make a scrappy blanket/comforter blanket. Along with many other things to make also. But who can say no to their children, no matter what their age. So I had an array of fabrics I bought, thinking they would suit the bill. The bear in the forest fabric by Lewis & Irene won. It was simple enough to make, measure the book, add 5mm seam allowance, I used wadding to pad it up a little, I used a prym magnetic clasp for the flap. My daughter and son in law loved it.
