Preggo Bestie + Project Leftovers = Winning!

I had some little leftovers from a hat and fingerless mitt project I made for myself. I was wondering what to do with all these remnant lengths of yarn, then I remembered that my BFF was due in a month and I hadn't made her much... her little monster will be a winter baby and like to need all kinds of little woollies to keep him warm! So... I made baby gear. The patterns can be found on Ravelry Hat: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/little-leftovers and mitties: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/stay-put-baby-mitts For the hat I modified the pattern a bit - incorporating a ribbed band rather than a purled stockinette band (I just liked the look of the ribbed brim better.)
