Description

You've created a project using the simple way to give your card a new look so now you need to put the card together.

Instructions

  1. Now that you've created a new look for your card using the tutorial-A Simple Way To Give Your Card A New Look begin putting your card together by creating a card base for it. The base in this project is a 5 1/2" x 8" piece.

  2. Small 111281 2f2015 09 30 191839 img 5174%2b 282 29

Cut a piece of patterned paper that is 1/8" smaller than the width of the card base and 1" wider than the width of your focal point piece. For this card, the patterned paper measures 6" x 7" and was cut into 4- 1 1/2" x 7" strips.

  3. Small 111281 2f2015 09 30 191850 img 5176%2b 282 29

Place a ruler 1/2" down from the tops of the strips. Use this as a guide to place the focal point piece evenly across the strips. Attach them to the patterned paper using a tape runner.

  4. Small 111281 2f2015 09 30 191920 img 5267%2b 282 29

Now, place each of the completed strips onto the card base leaving approximately 1/8" in between each piece. These can be adjusted as needed. Adhere them using the tape runner.

  5. Your card is now finished and ready to share! Have fun just playing around with the look of your card by turning the base horizontally and cutting the strips in that direction. Create different looks by using different stamps and themes. This is a new way for you to add a different look to your cards!
