A button maker which is a press you assemble the various button parts with. Parts generally include mylar (a high grade plastic) sheet, and depending on the button size shells, backs, and collets & pins (collets are an extra part to hold pins if the pins are not attached the the flat pinback portion common with smaller sized buttons, usually an inch or less) So you put in the right bits into the maker and position your paper cutout images and with a press or two you have a button! It's really fun and easy but the machines are a bit pricey initially. I was lucky enough to borrow one and only pay for the parts. There are cheaper hand held button makers, and occasionally ones in the toy department, but the quality is vastly different in durability.
