About

For my art coursework i was asked to produce a sketchbook on identity the theme that tied with identity is shoes, since most people would remark that if you really want to know someone look at their shoes,i hope you spend some time reading why i chose to create each page they way i did.
(More pictures below)
This took me a allot longer that 72 hours but that was purely because i had other pieces to finish eg:Canvas.

  1. 1

This was my front cover, first i newspapered the books cover and then built a relief piece of cardboard on top, i made mine look like a ships wheel due to my love for the sea.

  2. 2

This is my statement of intent, here i write what i intend to achieve when my project is finished, each butterfly is three dimensional and comes away from the page.

  3. 3

On the first page is the work of Fletcher Benton, and the second my interpretation of his work using lettering. i have also created an A2 piece based on his work.

  4. 4

This page is based on David Carson, it has a basic annotation of his work.

  5. 5

This page includes photos i have taken, i then created a piece on canvas and in Charcoal based on the photographs taken. (canvas and charcoal sketch shown below)

  6. 6

Piece on canvas, our intention was to make the shoes look as realistic as possible.

  7. 7

    Charcoal sketch of a photograph.

  8. 8

This is an annotation of Andy Warhol and Lisa Milroy's artwork.

  9. 9

A drawing of a girl with flowing hair, i drew this because of my love for the sea and hair.

  10. 10

This is yet to be completed but i have to create an impressionist piece of some of the artwork below by Teesha Moore.

  11. 11

A collage of artwork by Teesha Moore, each picture is built up on pieces of cardboard to give a multi dimensional effect.

  12. 12

This is my main identity page, in the center is a tree i drew in black marker with some of my traits portrayed with pictures hanging on the tree, surrounding the tree are the definitions of identity.
