This is a vest I made my self from my dads old te-shirt. Mine has an army print, but you can use any te-shirt to make a new vest! like one with a logo, cute picture or pattern. It may look hard to make for people who are new to makeing clothes but if it makes you feel more confident I never made a vest untill I suddenly come with this idea one night and whent for it! Have a go, you will be amazed with your new vest you did not have to buy! Post your versions I would love to see them :)

First pick an old teshirt you want to use. Make sure its not used before you cut it! Also you need to make sure your te-shirt is big enough to cut your vest out of.
Then, lay your te-shirt out flat and place the vest on top and cut around the front a back piece with a 2cm seem alowance. (do not cut out the straps they are done seperatly)
Then with your vest pieces hem the neckline, arm holes and back so it does not fray.
Next with wrong sides faceing sew your vest on both sides, and turn the right way. (you can overlock the edges if you want it to last longer)
Finally mesure the lengh of the straps on your previous vest and cut a the same amount from the old te-shirt. Then hem and sew down the strap, before sewing to your new vest.
Tadaaaa, your finished vest. Now all you gotta do is show all your freinds who will be dying for one of their own! :)
