You Will Need
Apple filling
500 g
Apples
2 tbsp
Water
Sugar
To taste
Pastry
130 g
Butter
Cubed
90 g
Sugar
150 g
Plain Flour
150 g
Self-Raising Flour
1
Egg

Step 1Apples...
Place apples in a pot with water.
Gently simmer until tender & the liquid has evaporated.

Step 2Add sugar to the apples, stir through.
Set aside.

Step 3Pastry...
Heat oven 190 degrees.
Rub the flours & butter together until breadcrumbs.

Step 4Add the sugar.
Stir through.

Step 5Add the egg & bring together to form a dough.
Wrap & place in the fridge for 30 mins.

Step 6Cut pastry in half.
Roll out one half of the pastry.
Press into the tray & prick with a fork.
Bake for 5 mins.

Step 7Place the apples on top of the cooked pastry.

Step 8Roll out the remaining pastry.
Place on top of the apples.
Bake for 30-35 mins.

Step 9Remove from the oven.
Sprinkle with sugar & cool completely.

Step 10Cut & serve.
