Unpack the desk but keep the packaging, it will be very useful when painting the frame.
Give the frame a good coat or two of gold paint before assembling the desk. Wait for it to dry and assemble according to instructions. You're done! I told you this was the easiest IKEA hack! Just make sure to pick a paint that is made for metallic surfaces and stir away from spray paints on this one.
