So this is what I wear to work on October 31st. Tribute to the very talented yet tragic Amy Winehouse. I love her voice and her music. May she rest in peace. At first I hesitate because of the beehive hair might be a little fussy to do. But, it only took me around 10-15 mins to do the hair. Well, actually it took me 20ish mins because my colleagues was distracting me :p I did all the hair do and make up at office. So you can imagine how easy it was.

Description

So this is what I wear to work on October 31st. Tribute to the very talented yet tragic Amy Winehouse. I love her voice and her music. May she rest in peace. At first I hesitate because of the beehive hair might be a little fussy to do. But, it only took me around 10-15 mins to do the hair. Well, actually it took me 20ish mins because my colleagues was distracting me :p I did all the hair do and make up at office. So you can imagine how easy it was.

Instructions

  1. Small 01 tools

Things you need Hair: - Shower puff or a ball of yarn (I use shower puff) - Felt fabric, use the same color as your hair - Bobby pins, lots of em' - Stapler (because this is easy and available at my desk) - Hairspray - Regular comb and/or teasing comb - Bandana or ribbon or any other hair accessories

  2. Small 02 loofah

Head Implant So this is what I do to make the 'head implant' 1. Wrap the shower puff with felt cloth. 2. Hold the folds together using regular a stapler. Continue until you get a round pillow-like shape.

  3. Small 03 bun

Light, round, soft and bouncy head implant!

  4. Small 04 divide hair

Divide your hair 1. Divide the front side of your hair from one ear to another. This include bangs and some more hair on the side. See on the pic, its the hairs i put aside next to my cheeks. 2. Divide the back part in to two sections, still from ear to ear. So you will have the upper part and the down part. Tie the down part with hair ties or rubber band or anything so it wont interfere with what you will do to the upper part. 3. Divide the upper part in to two sections. This time divide the upper upper part to a triangle shape. So you'll get upper A (upper upper) and upper B (upper down). ummm... yeah like that :p

  5. Small 05 spray

Here comes the implant! 1. Put the implant between the upper A part and the upper B part of your hair. (sorry forgot to take pics for that one) 2. Secure it with gazillion bobby pins. Move your head around like you're trippin' to test whether the implant is secure or not. 3. Tease the upper B part of your hair, use hairspray all you want. And then fold the upper B forward so it will cover the implant.

  6. Small 07 secure

Tease the upper A part of your hair, use hairspray and then fold it backward. Twist the remaining hair and clip it with bobby pins (see pic).

  7. Small 06 cover

Adjust the shape of your bee hive, make sure there's no loose hair. Add extra extra more hairspray if needed.

  8. Small 08 secure side

So this is what you do with the hair on the sides.. Pull/stretch the hair to the back of your bee hive, so the bee hive and the rest of your hair will become one unity (as if the bump really grows from your head!)

  9. Small 09 more pins

Don't forget to clip the end with bobby pins and hairspray here and there. This is me with one hand holding the hair and one hand clipping it with bobby pins.

  10. Small 10 extra

Wrap yer head with a bandana or a big ribbon or with huge plastic flowers. Do it Amy style! <3

  11. Small 11 tadah

OK here's the final result. Not bad eh for a first try? Oh yeah, she likes to wear hoops earrings, black cat-eye makeup, and short, tight, cleavage-flaunting dresses. And tips when your wearing eyeliner - Amy style, always remember: the thicker, the blacker - the better.
