  • Step 1

Get a lot of card board cause your gonna need it. And a lot of Hot Glue sticks cause you'll use a lot.

  • Step 2

Fist you'll want out cut out a Temp-let. You can use anything for this but DONT use your cardboard. You'll want to have 7 pieces when your done. I'm telling you now that i say the width of the measurements first and then the height. so you dont get confused.

  • How to make a messenger bag. Amu Messanger Bag - Step 3
    Step 3

The first piece of temp-let is going to be the front of the box, back of the box and the flap the goes over the front of the box. They should all be 10" by 7" except the the flap one that should be about a half to an inch longer. SO basically your making three pieces of paper cut with the dimension of 10" by 7" excerpt the folded over flap which is like 10" by 8"

    Step 4

The second piece of temp-let will be your sides of the box. You will only need 2. They both will measure at the same dimensions of 4" by 7" inches.

    Step 5

The last piece of temp-let you need is the bottom of the box and the part that actually attaches the box and the flap that folds over the front. SO basically the top and bottom of the box. they both measure out to be 10" by 4" inches.

    Step 6

In the end you should have 7 pieces of paper or whatever you used for your temp-let. What you need to do is tape all the pieces together as shown in the picture.

  • Step 7

Then take the cardboard you got if it's not big enough go get a bigger one and draw your temp-let on that. Mark the areas where you have to fold and make little fold tabs ONLY ON THE SIDE PIECES. You should pretty well see what your doing when you fold it all together. I REMIND YOU CARDBOARD IS EVIL HAVE PATIENCE.

  • Step 8

Next you have to get out your hot glue. ONLY ON THE TABS YOU MADE. if you folded them right then it will come together all perfect. DO NOT GLUE THE TOP TO THE REST OF THE BOX. the top part should only fold over.

  • Step 9

By now you should have a completed box and all you have to do is put the material on and all the extra stuff.

  • How to make a messenger bag. Amu Messanger Bag - Step 10
    Step 10

The best way to get the material to stick is to pin it all down and then hot glue it onto the box. Do the inside lining first and then the outside. The material should be cut so that it folds over a little cause it will be easier to work with that way.

  • Step 11

Next is to add the plaid material to the outside, it can also fold over a little. It actually looks better if it folds over. Be sure to Hot glue all the pieces down so that there are no holes or gaps.

    Step 12

Next you should add the belt like ribbon to the top and down the front of the box. HOT GLUE IS GOD.

  • Step 13

Your almost done. Now is time for the lace. be careful cause if you aren't you could burn yourself with the glue. Remember the lace is kinda see threw so glue will go threw it.

  • How to make a messenger bag. Amu Messanger Bag - Step 14
    Step 14

Now your like finished. All you have to do is take the belt you decided to use for the strap and put it together. Like take the belt and hook it threw the first hole on the belt. The cut the other side of the belt where the buckle isn't and attach it with WHAT. HOT GLUE!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Step 15

And now your done. revile in the fact that this isn't easy and you finished it. BE PROUD BE PROUD
